This month I would like to talk about the little things to look at on a daily basis on machines that we often overlook.  We all look at the normal stuff like the way lube and coolant tank levels.  But sometimes it is the little things that need to be looked at to prevent big problems. 

And fractions of seconds at times. Recently, while discussing the possibility of putting a specific part in a specific machine, the conversation came up of how seconds can be the difference between profit and loss.

Northwestern Formula Racing is an extracurricular student organization dedicated to hands-on engineering excellence. Their goal is to create a car that is simple, easy to build, and runs well. Using a ROMER Absolute Arm and PC-DMIS Reshaper which were set up at their facility in about 5 minutes, a fully defined CAD model of the engine surface profiles was created in about 3 hours.
