ELMIRA, NY: Hardinge Inc. (www.hardinge.com) announced that the newest version of the Bridgeport GX-1000 40" x 21" vertical machining center to be displayed at IMTS (Booth S8348) has been designed with the Okuma OSP-P200 Control, drives, motors and encoders.

Part of our responsibilities as Application Engineers is to specify equipment for customers. This means looking at the best possible solution to machine a given part. Sometimes we have to think outside the box of our vertical machining centers and two-axis lathes so we can look at how to make the customers, parts more profitable.
