Big growth for small shop
The Tsugami Swiss line of products is cutting edge technology and allows for unattended operation because of the repeatability and reliability. The BE20 is a 20 mm bar stock machine that can run with or without the guide bushing which is a very nice feature for short length to diameter ratio parts. A couple of years ago, B&N Machine was located in the basement of Rich Ham's house in Londell, Missouri. The convenience of working from home was eventually overcome by the need to grow. B&N Machine has grown, moved, purchased and hired, to the point that Rich Ham says, "We are a real shop now!" The new location is in St.Clair, Missouri and Rich and his wife Nikki could not be happier. The job shop market is strong, and it has helped Rich to recently purchase his fifth CNC machine. It is a Tsugami BE20 Swiss style lathe with an FMB magazine barfeeder. Rich says, "The Tsugami is a very neat machine; it is fast, makes parts complete because of the live tooling and sub-spindle, I really like it." B&N Machine was looking for a machine that could do the small diameter work they currently had in house. The Tsugami accomplished this for them and it is under ¾" diameter, which would allow them to grow the business by getting some new customers.
