The Winter Event Hartwig St. Louis and Kansas City had two simultaneous winter events December 9-11, 2008. The event was to debut the Okuma LB3000EX. The LB3000EX takes the place of the LB300 and is more efficient because of it smaller size, heavier casting and ability to multi task better. The Hartwig winter event allowed customers to come to the facility, speak with any of the 15 application engineers on hand and watch the machine in action. Additionally a multi-function class was provided for customers at no charge. Geoff Hartwig, Manager of the St. Louis facility said "The event was a complete success.
