Hartwig had 4 simultaneous open houses nation-wide.  Each was a success.

The Winter Event
Hartwig St. Louis and Kansas City had two simultaneous winter events December 9-11, 2008. The event was to debut the Okuma LB3000EX. The LB3000EX takes the place of the LB300 and is more efficient because of it smaller size, heavier casting and ability to multi task better. Couple those things with the new and improved THINC control and you have a machine of the future. The Hartwig winter event allowed customers to come to the facility, speak with any of the 15 application engineers on hand and watch the machine in action. Additionally a multi-function class was provided for customers at no charge. Geoff Hartwig, Manager of the St. Louis facility said "The event was a complete success. We were able to provide customers with clear and concise information about how they can improve their current processes with an Okuma." Hartwig offers monthly classes at all of its 8 locations. The No Haggle Pricing Event
Many came to learn and pass on the good knowledge of how to keep our industry strong. Hartwig, a machine tool distributor in the Midwest had two simultaneous open houses in its Dallas, TX and Broken Arrow, OK offices from December 10 - 12. They featured machines from Okuma, Citizen, Miyano, and Okamoto. The Dallas event had 13 machines running with over 150 customers. Greg Kinney, Manager of the Dallas facility stated that the goal of the winter event was to provide education to the territory of the technology available today that enables more work to get done faster." He also stated that his goal is to help customers take advantage of inventory available to ship, which in turn allowed them to take advantage of the Tax Incentive program that expired in December 2008. Both events offered high speed, multifunction, and shorter cycle time machines. Austin Manuel, Manager of the Broken Arrow facility said he was pleased with the turn out and the encouraging feedback from customers that manufacturing is strong in their area.
