Partners in THINC represents the joining of multiple companies in providing manufacturing solutions to customers with machining operations.  Most manufacturing processes involve multiple types of equipment to complete a necessary task.  Examples are:

• Machine tool to form a desired shape
• Material handling devices - input and output
• Gauging devices to ensure compliance
• Tooling to perform the task
• Work-holding devices
• Interfacing logic to meet specific customer needs
• Tooling preparation, storage and management
• Statistical data interpretation and application
• Real-time operational/performance data

Partners in THINC brings these types of equipment/systems together to demonstrate possible solutions to the end user.  All of these technologies are demonstrated in a shop-floor environment.  In many cases, competing products are shown to show alternative approaches to a process.  This provides the Customer the opportunity to evaluate and determine what will work best in their specific application.

The THINC part of the equation provides even more benefit.  Full PC capabilities are available on the shop floor through the Okuma THINC control. The THINC control allows for simple connectivity and real-time information sharing as found in a modern office setting.  This sharing is limited only by the user's desires.  It can be isolated to a specific site or as broad as communications with all Corporate locations.

The focus is simple.  We strive to provide solutions.  We don't have all the solutions to the many challenges that manufacturers face, but those demonstrated would otherwise required development by the internal resources of each visiting company.  Our combined "Lessons Learned" are shared each day at this facility.
